Triumph electric bass from Framus

Trend-setting innovations
The transportation problems of an upright bass were always an issue even before an alleviation was presented by Framus with the introduction of the Star bass. The "Triumph electric bass" or "Triumph bass" was the unique electric upright with model number 4/60 that represented an electrified and subject-to-weight-loss-regimen variant to the double bass. This solid body version of the classical 4-string instrument was manufactured already in September of 1953 and was one of the few instruments that remained basically unchanged and could be found in the Framus catalogs from the seventies.
